“ALEXANDER BALTATZIS” FOUNDATION

SCHOLARSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2024-2025

The "Alexander Baltatzis" Foundation intends to fund through scholarships for the academic year 2024-2025, the studies of 6 postgraduate students of the Democritus University of Thrace, who are pursuing their postgraduate studies in Thrace, in the following scientific fields:

• Agri-food

• Water resource management

• Drought mitigation

The amount of each scholarship is €6,000 and covers the entire duration of obtaining the postgraduate specialization degree (maximum of 18 months).The aim of this initiative is to support the scientific and research potential that operates in Thrace in cutting-edge scientific fields, directly related to the productive fabric of the region's primary sector.

Candidates must:

1.     Be Greek nationals and reside in Thrace.

2.     Be final-year students of universities in Greece or abroad and enrolled in a postgraduate program related to the above fields.

3.     Conduct their postgraduate thesis in a relevant scientific field, which, after completion and successful examination, will be submitted to the "ALEXANDER BALTATZIS" Foundation, simultaneously granting authorization for the use of the research results.
